Medentech is the manufacturer of Aquatabs water purification tablets, a trusted and widely used solution for ensuring safe drinking water by effectively eliminating harmful bacteria, viruses, and pathogens in water sources.

Medentech is headquartered in Wexford, Ireland with distribution agents in over 100 countries worldwide. The Company began in 1984 with the development of a fast acting and effective effervescent tablet, Sterinova, as a portable, easy to use disinfection solution for infant feeding bottles. The Company’s commitment to research and development and its passion for developing and marketing superior products resulted in the Company experiencing constant growth. Now customers include Global Blue Chip Companies and all of the World’s top aid agencies and peace keeping forces. In June 2018, Medentech came together with Hypred, Anti-Germ, LCB Food Safety, G3 & Kilco and adopted the unique name - KERSIA - a common banner for a shared mission through Transparency, Sharing, Proficiency & Foresight.

We have successfully contributed to employment creation in Ghana by providing job opportunities for over 90 Ghanaians, including a significant number of women.
Combating Waterborne Disease Outbreaks in Ghana
We have also strategically supported NGOs in managing outbreaks of waterborne diseases across Ghana, helping to improve public health responses and reduce the spread of contamination in affected communities.
Water Treatment Impact in Ghana
In 2020, we treated over 98,313,240 liters of water in Ghana, demonstrating our significant impact in improving access to safe drinking water. This figure excludes additional treatment carried out by our corporate partners within the private sector.
